DAB presented its AML/TF Report to the President of the Country

March 06, 2021 – Mr. Ajmal Ahmady, the acting Governor of Da Afghanistan Bank presented Da Afghanistan Bank’s report on its performance pertaining to Anti-money laundering and terrorism financing to His Excellency the President of the country.

After Mr. Ajmal Ahmady presented the said report, the President placed emphasis on conducting regular meetings with the relevant law enforcement agencies and added that further cooperation and coordination with the relevant institutions can assist Afghanistan in combating money laundering and terrorism financing, and achieving our commitments with our international partners.

It’s worth-mentioning that based on the Anti-money Laundering and Proceeds of Crimes Law, Da Afghanistan Bank has regularly put efforts into providing a strong financial system consistent with international standards for preventing its misuse by criminal groups so that the system could play an important role in the country’s economic prosperity.
