Procurement Directorate General

The Procurement Directorate General (PDG) was established as an independent department within the organizational structure of Da Afghanistan Bank (DAB) on February 21, 2015, in accordance with the Public Procurement Law. The directorate is responsible for managing and overseeing all procurement activities and contract arrangements of DAB. The primary objective of the directorate is to serve as a focal point of contact for all procurement-related operations and contract management within the bank.

Other Objectives:

The additional objectives of the PDG include procuring and providing goods and services based on the annual internal requirements of DAB, in compliance with the Public Procurement Law and procedures, and with consideration of the following points:

  • Ensuring transparency throughout all procurement proceedings;
  • Effective control of financial affairs and public expenditures;
  • Ensuring cost-efficiency in the acquisition of goods, execution of works, and provision of services;
  • Providing equal bidding opportunities for all qualified applicants to participate in procurement and tendering proceedings.
