We appreciate the US Department's Treasury Decision on Sending Humanitarian Aid via Banking System

February 03, 2021 – The US Department of Treasury recently granted permission to international banks to send humanitarian aid to the people of Afghanistan. This will enable the international banks to get involved with the state-owned and private banks in Afghanistan to facilitate the flow of humanitarian aid to the Afghan people.

Meanwhile, based on the issued guidelines, the international aid organizations can provide assistance to the education and health sectors, and other areas relating to the welfare of the people, without any concerns.

Da Afghanistan Bank appreciates this initiative of the United States of America, requesting its further cooperation particularly in facilitating the banking relations for the private sector.
