Meeting with IMF concerning the Implementation of Joint Economic Programs

March 10, 2021 – Mr. Ajmal Ahmady, the acting Governor of DAB held a video conference with International Monetary Fund. Mr. Ahmady shared information in relation to the implementation and progress of the Joint economic programs with the IMF team.

It’s worth mentioning that in this meeting both sides discussed the continuity of structural reforms, strengthening of macroeconomics and policy development, economic growth and development of the country in the coming years, inflation, currency rate, strengthening regional cooperation, poverty reduction and other important issues.

The IMF and Afghan teams also exchanged their views and discussed various economic indicators for paving the path for financial and economic stability and placed emphasis on mutual cooperation in this regard.
